During your soccer season, players must find a way to build and maintain strength and conditioning fitness whilst playing competitive games and team training. If you fail to do this, your all-around performance may suffer and you lose physical capacity and locomotive intensities deteriorate, risking injury. Your goal should be to train at least two to three times per week. Anything less and you may be unable to maintain your muscle mass or strength.
